My name is Jennifer Poo.

I'm a writer, scientist, and science communicator.

Help me bridge the gap between scientists and the general public, through translating technical jargon into accessible language and creating content that informs and inspires.

Scientific literacy is my priority and passion. I ask how we can foster deeper understanding of science's role in society?

where i've been

I've spent the last 5 years studying how bacteria interact with each other, their environments, and us. In that time, I focused on how we as scientists can improve the general public's science literacy in subjects pertaining to health, pharmaceuticals, and microbiology.

I recieved my B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine in 2020 and my M.A. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2023.
